“The Italian version of Vanity Fair has reported that Barack Obama’s half-brother George Hussein Obama has been discovered living in a tin shack in a Nairobi slum.

Obama shares the same father with the 26-year-old George, who lives in Huruma, a slum on the outskirts of the Kenyan capital.

Senator Obama’s father, the late Barack Obama Senior, was from the village of Nyang’oma-Kogelo in western Kenya.

Obama Senior fathered Barack while in the US, but left when the young Obama was two to return to Kenya.

Despite his heritage, Senator Obama has only visited Kenya a handful of times, the last visit coming in 2006.

George Obama said he has met the senator only twice - once in 2006 and once when he was a small child - and that he would not be asking for any help from his famous half-brother.

‘I don’t even tell people that I am related to Barack Obama, I don’t want people here to be harassing me because they think I have money or influence,’ George Obama told Britain’s Daily Telegraph.

The Obama camp were yet to comment on the story.”
